Sold-out Alpenbrevet celebrates successful event

Once again this year, the participants of the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet were able to ride the passes around Andermatt in dry and sunny weather. All tours were sold out eight months before the event and registration for next year opens on September 14.

After a mixed summer, the Alpenbrevet enjoyed a mostly sunny event. The OC was also pleased with the exceptionally low number of incidents. “We are happy that, apart from a few minor injuries, there were no incidents,” says Patrick Huber, project manager of the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet, with relief.

The Alpenbrevet stays in Andermatt Obergoms

Andermatt and Obergoms will once again provide the starting location for the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet next year. The start of the various tours will remain unchanged. The Platin-, Gold- and Silbertours will therefore start in Andermatt and the Bronzetour will lead from Ulrichen over the Nufenen Pass via the Gotthard Pass back to Andermatt. The finish is still in Andermatt for everyone. “We are delighted with the commitment of Andermatt Swiss Alps, Andermatt Tourism and Goms Tourism to our event,” Huber continues. The Alpenbrevet will take place on September 6, 2025, with registration opening on September 14, 2024.

High demand for starting places

It is no coincidence that registration will open again next weekend. “Demand is currently very high. We expect the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet 2025 to be sold out within a few weeks,” says marketing manager Philipp Avenell. According to the organizer, the demand for events in the “no-race” format is increasing. For some time now, the Alpenbrevet has no longer had a ranking list, but an alphabetical list of finishers.
